Mountain Lake Conservancy

To Preserve and Protect

The Mountain Lake Conservancy is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 to manage and protect the 2,600 acres of Mountain Lake property in Southwest Virginia. We also provide environmental and cultural education to the public and work very closely with Mountain Lake Lodge to manage the property in a sustainable manner.

Protecting the natural resources for visitors to our mountaintop is our ultimate goal. Through educational programming, providing access for extensive study and research, and providing recreational opportunities, the Conservancy is integrally connected to Mountain Lake Lodge family resort and its mission to provide a place for people to experience nature for generations to come.

Mission Statement
